Construction and property consultancy, Dooley Associates, yesterday signed a lease at Royal London & Asset Management’s newly refurbished 1St Ann’s Street in Manchester city centre.
The company signed a five year lease with a three year break clause on 1,900 square feet (177 square metres) being the whole of the 4th floor of the building. Canning O’Neill acted on behalf of Royal London and Dooley Associates acted on behalf of themselves.
Established in 2003, to mark a successful period of growth, Dooley Associates is creating a new image via both rebranding and moving into the city’s core from its previous base in the Northern Quarter. The deal not only recognises a significant investment by Dooley Associates in the future of its business but also sends out a clear message to the market that it is ready and prepared for a revival of the property market. The signing of new offices in Manchester coincides with its launch of a London office where it is seeking to raise its profile further in the City ofLondonand the South East and continue to grow in the West Midlandswhere it has had a presence for the last five years. Dooley’s continues to manage a healthy international order book.
Commenting on the move, Brendan Dooley, Managing Director of Dooley Associates said,
“Refreshing the brand and moving office is part of our plan to establish Dooley Associates as a national company with its roots in Manchester. Since 2008 as with many companies we have had to consider the effects of the banking crisis and although there are only a few green shoots at present it is important that we are ready for the years ahead for our current and future clients.”
“The company has made significant progress since its establishment and intends to ride the recession to further success as the market contracts and clients want a very honed yet personal service.
“Dooley Associates has ambitious plans for the future to build on its already well established Manchester and Birmingham practices by opening a London office and continuing with its international work.”
Commenting on the deal, James Dickinson of Canning O’Neill said,
“Dooley Associates is a perfect tenant for Royal London and it’s great news that they’ve taken a whole floor. We take this as a positive sign that the market is receptive to this sort of newly refurbished space at 1 St Ann’s Street.
“The remaining 2,391 sq ft on the 3rd floor is now in solicitors’ hands so we’re hoping to announce new neighbours for Dooley’s shortly.”
